What dumpers are used for
Dumpers are trucks with front or rear-mounted skip for transporting loose material such as sand, gravel, or demolition waste. Typical dumpers have a hinged, open-box bed which can be raised (usually with hydraulic rams) to dump out the contents on the ground.
Modern dumpers are typically diesel-powered and have multi-cylinder engines. Most are 4-wheel-drive for added manoeuvrability. Some even offer turbocharging, hydraulics for steering and electric start.
