Why use a wheel excavator
Wheeled excavators can’t dig as aggressively as their tracked big brother, but what they lack in bulk, they make up with manoeuvrability, getting in places where any other heavy equipment cannot.
They are quick too, travelling up to 22 miles per hour, crossing paved surfaces between jobsites easily, which improves productivity when you have multiple tasks around a large worksite.
These mobile excavators are often equipped with blade, stabilizers or jacks, and sometimes a three-piece boom for embankment work. Rubber-tyred excavators are often used on road construction work.
The wheels and brakes used on wheeled excavators are long lasting and fairly easy to replace too, giving these machines a low operating cost.
