Why you need a used road planer
Also known as cold milling machines, road planers remove just enough thickness from the top layer of a road to level and smooth the surface.
Smaller machines are versatile to mill around manhole covers or remove road markings, while bigger machines can remove strips of road layers for wholesale levelling of the existing surface.

The Wirtgen road planers are among the best in the industry, with models available such as the Wirtgen W2000, the Wirtgen W1900 and the Wirtgen W2200 asphalt cold milling machines which are in high demand in South East Asia
These have a levelling system similar to a paver because the smoother the surface is, the easier the paving job is. The main wearing parts on this machine are the teeth and drum, which are relatively cheap to replace.
Other manufacturers, such as Dynapac road planers, and Bomag asphalt planers, are also very good machines, and engineered to the highest standards. Dynapac PL2000’s have a 2m working width and the teeth on these may need replacing after they have been worn down.
