What is a concrete batching plant
A concrete batching plant allows you to manufacture concrete on a large scale, from a mixture of cement, aggregate and water.
Static concrete plants are designed for long term use in one location and ideal if you have a large site or a town nearby to supply readymixed concrete and premixed cement to.
Mobile, wheeled, or portable concrete batching plants are built to allow transport from site to site – ideal for contractors, who will be working different projects in different locations eg and airport one month, then building or road the next.
Setting up a concrete batch plant
Concrete is used for a variety of construction operations, from buildings and ground surfaces to structural foundations. Concrete batch plants are supplied with bins for aggregate storage, silos for storing the cement, and the drum mixer for mixing the concrete.
They are also equipped with weighers or scales, computer technology for controlling the concrete mixture, specification and output, and conveyors, hoppers and bins for the handling of the cement, aggregate, water and mixed concrete.
