Wirtgen WR2500 machines are used in soil stabilization and road resurfacing projects, and can be used for either straightforward soil stabilization or asphalt milling, or cold in-place recycling of asphalt using binders such as bitumen emulsion, bitumen foam or cement emulsion. These binders are sprayed or injected into the mixing/milling chamber whilst the machine is milling to coat the aggregate which is then re-laid behind the machine and compacted. The Wirtgen WR2500 offers high output and very versatile operation. When used in ground stabilization, the Wirtgen WR2500 can introduce water by a spray bar into the mixing chamber, which assists the stabilization process.
