After Sales Care
Sigma has a well established after sales team who check up on you after you have bought a machine from us to make sure everything is running fine and if you would like anything else from us. They also provide regular updates on your machine once purchased from us.
That’s the Sigma difference and it’s why many of our customers deal with us for years.
Quarry project - Africa
A client who had purchased machines from us previously asked us to help increase the output from his quarry, as he had a major contract come onstream. Of course, we agreed and arranged a quarry manager and a very competent quarry foreman to travel to Nigeria.
When we arrived the quarry was just a small, inefficient hole in the ground, crushing every three days. This was clearly more than just an equipment problem. Our men stripped off a load more overburden to increase the quarry working area, created a dedicated roadway into the site and moved the crushing line down closer to the blast face. Within a month the quarry was producing 1000 tons every day of granite aggregate.
In order to increase the output, we also sourced, checked and shipped additional Pegson crushers and screens to increase capacity, and also supplied a CAT 966H wheel loader and CAT 330DL excavator. On a different project for the same company, we supplied a Bauer BG18H piling rig, which was putting in foundations for a bridge. This application required bentonite equipment and tremie pipes, which Sigma also supplied.

Petrol Tanks - Trinidad
Sigma has supported one of the main road hauliers in Trinidad throughout their fleet upgrade. The project added 8 new petrol tanks to their fleet, dramatically increasing the company’s flexibility and putting them in prime position for new contracts on the island. We located a competitive European tanker manufacturer who would build to our exact specification, and monitored quality and spec throughout the build. Once the tanks were built, we helped the client with transport and shipping, and ensured everything was working well post-purchase. A global solution that’s making the world of difference for our client.
Sandvik DX700 Rock Drill - Quarrying Company, Africa
Sigma PlantFinder achieved a sale to a major quarrying firm in West Africa. The purchase was of a nearly new Sandvik DX700 rock drill for a hard rock quarry operated by the company. Sigma took care of all shipping and transport, and delivered the item on time into Lagos seaport, Nigeria.
Sigma has since supplied other machines to the companies’ quarry operation, and looks to do more business with them in the future!
Bitelli BB730 Paver - Aftersales Service
Sigma PlantFinder was able to help one of our suppliers sell a Bitelli BB730 paver with great ease due to our sales and after sales team making sure they had a great customer experience.
Sigma PlantFinder was approached by a client in Rwanda to supply a Bitelli BB730 wheeled paver. Bitelli is an Italian manufacturer which was taken over by Caterpillar in 2000. Caterpillar continued producing pavers under the Bitelli brand until the branding was phased across to Caterpillar about 2007, with the launch of the AP- Series, which replaced the BB- Series.
Many thanks to you all for the help and ease of selling this machine. It has been greatly appreciated.
Bandit Beast Shredder - Aftersales Service
Sigma Plantfinder sold a Bandit Beast 3680 shredder to one of our clients in Nice, France. Having worked on shredding wood waste at a remote powerstation, the machine was in excellent condition with very low hours.
The 3680 is one of the largest machines manufactured by Bandit, and haulage/transport was very difficult due to the transport height of the unit being 4 metres – before loading on a trailer. Sigma managed to find a professional haulier who was prepared to tow the machine 1600 miles (2575km) from the North of Scotland to the South of France.
This transit went flawlessly, and our clients were extremely happy with the smooth and efficient service we provided.
Hamm Rollers - Aftersales Service
A client approached Sigma with a very specific specification they required – two nearly new Hamm rollers, with VIO vibration control system fitted. This system was very new, and was not common on used equipment.
Sigma successfully sourced and shipped these nearly-new Hamm rollers to Barbados, to a regional construction firm. The client was very happy with the after-sales and shipping service we provided.
Jaw Crusher - Egypt
Sigma supplied a jaw crusher to a construction company in Egypt. The company was very satisfied with the machine and also the service they received from us and wanted to buy again straight away!
Kelly Bars - Philippines
Sigma helped supply a construction company in the Philippines with many machines and in this case, spare parts. Our customer was extremely happy with the service we provide and we still do regular business with them today.
I hope you're all well. For a very short time we have been communicating with each other and doing business with you. Even though we don’t know each other personally, our company will always remember how helpful you were to us. Hoping that it will be the start of a long business partnership. Your patience and generosity will always be highly appreciated.
CAT M320 - Ethiopia

Bomag BW 225D-3 - Thailand
Our shipping team once again made one of our regular customers from Thailand extremely happy when he bought a Bomag BW 225D-3 from Sigma. He was pleased that we were able to let him pay via a letter of credit and we got the machine to him quickly – the roller was on a vessel less than 2 weeks after the LC was finalised.
Wirtgen 1000C - Mauritius
This Wirtgen 1000C was bought from a company in Mauritius. We didn’t complete the shipping, however, we organized the cleaning, treatment and inspection of the machine for it to obtain a Phytosanitary Certificate. This certificate allows the machine to enter the country as it signifies that the machine has been treated. The treatment minimises the risks relating to the introduction of pests and diseases that could be transported on the machines and spread within their environment.
